There are many terms floating around the Internet -- all which end in "ware": freeware, shareware, groupware and many others. We cannot attempt to describe them all, but two terms -- freeware and shareware -- apply to the software on this web site. Unfortunately, there is not a consistent definition, but we will try:

Freeware: This software can be used free of charge and without restriction. Redistribution of the software may be allowed, depending upon the website owner. If you want to redistribute the freeware, especially if you want to include it in a package sold for profit, you must obtain the express written permission of the author (that is MICROCode Consulting for all original creations on this website).

Shareware: This software can be used for a limited time for evaluation (60 days for MICROCode Consulting). Beyond that time, you should either cease use of the software or register/purchase it. Although redistribution of the package is allowed in its original unaltered form, it may not be included in other packages sold for profit without the express written permission of the author.
