MICROCode Consulting products intended for
Microsoft Windows users are
primarily visual programs supporting all current Windows versions:
- Windows 7
- Windows XP and Vista
- Windows 2000 and NT 4.0
- Windows 98 SE and Me (32-bit only):
No longer actively supported
- Windows 95 and 98 (hybrid 16- and 32-bit):
No longer actively supported
- Windows 3.1 and 3.11 (16-bit): No
longer actively supported
- Windows NT 3.51 (32-bit): No
longer actively supported
Note that there are two visual interface models for Windows.
Windows 3.1, Windows 3.11, Windows 95, Windows 98 (early versions) and
NT 3.51 use one visual style which we will call 16-bit Windows
style. Newer versions of Windows such as Windows 98SE, 2000,
XP, Vista, 7, and NT 4.0 use a different visual style which we call
32-bit Windows.
Note: All of our Windows 32-bit software will also work on 64-bit
Windows 7, XP, and Vista systems.
MICROCode Consulting no longer supports
16-bit versions of Windows, although we have older versions of some our
32-bit applications available in 16-bit. Knowing which system you
have will prevent wasted time downloading. Whereas 16-bit programs
will run on the 32-bit systems listed, the converse is not true.
Furthermore, 32-bit programs tend to run better and have more features
than their 16-bit counterparts (provided you have a 32-bit system).
Download our software today and check out the
way software should be written.
